On May 1, 2024, volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God in Oklahoma City Zion traveled to Sulphur, Oklahoma, to provide tornado disaster relief for families affected by the recent storm. With a heart to serve and restore hope, volunteers organized and distributed essential relief supplies to meet the urgent needs of residents facing loss and disruption. Each care package was thoughtfully prepared and labeled “Cheer Up!”, offering not only practical assistance but also words of encouragement meant to uplift survivors during a difficult time.
This act of service reflected the church’s faith-driven mission to care for both the physical and emotional well-being of the community. Just as Jesus gave eternal life through the Passover bread and wine, the World Mission Society Church of God in Oklahoma City carries that same spirit of faith and preparation for the Passover into action—seeking to save and support physical lives through service. By combining disaster relief efforts with compassion and encouragement, the volunteers demonstrated how faith can bring comfort, hope, and tangible help to those in need.
